Coriander Seeds

 

Botanical characters

It is an annual , herbaceous plant , 40 to 60 cm tall, erect, smooth, cylindrical stems , branched at the top . The lower leaves are stalked, pinnate, with oval wedge-shaped segments ; while higher are bi- tripinnadas with acute segments . The flowers are small , white or slightly pink , arranged in terminal umbels . The fruits are diaquenios , globose, with ten longitudinal ribs primary and eight secondary , consisting of tightly bound mericarps , yellow- brown color. They have a mild, pleasant scent and a tangy flavor. It contains two seeds , one for each achene . The roots are thin and highly branched .

Climate and Soil

Coriander requires a temperate climate, but can tolerate a warm temperate climate, it experiences a significant decrease in performance.
