Common name: Australian Areca.

Description of the plant: single trunk palm 8-10 m high and up to 18 cm in diameter, cylindrical, not dilated at the base. Graceful pinnate leaves, slightly arched, and composed of dark green leaflets on both sides, measuring up to eighty centimeters in length and ten in width.

Sun Exposure: Requires good light but not direct sunlight. The hot sun and dry winds cause leaf burn.

Watering: Abundant and regular.
