Phoenix dactylifera

Common Name: Date palm.
 
Description of the plant: dioecious tree up to 30 m tall. Stems greyish, covered with remains of old leaves, up to several meters long, pinnate, with 20-40 cm segments, folded, rigid and sharp end. The fruit is a date, a single bone, elongated and brownish-reddish color when ripe.

Sun Exposure: full sun.

Watering: Withstands drought and salt. Watering only in summer.
