Common name: thyme,

Family: Lamiaceae

Origin: Southern Europe and North Africa

Description: small creeping, perennial, branched shrub, herbaceous stems covered with opposite leaves and

linearly, reaching 30 cm. The branches meet at the tip of small purple flowers

arranged white herringbone. Flowering occurs from May to August. The intense aroma of this plant

give the environment a pleasant fragrance

Cycle: Vivaz. Height. 10-40 cm.

Planting: In the spring of seedlings transplanted in winter, frame 80 x 30 cm.

Weather: If the cold is intense frost protection

Feeding: Spring and Autumn

Flowering: From March.

Collection: March to November.

Use: Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, soaps and perfumes. Aromatic plant widely used as a condiment. Being a very hardy plant used in xeriscape is borduras or used for hedges, rockeries.
