Lavandula officinalis, are rich in substances like camphor , linalool, borneol and eucalyptol .

Lavender flowers have an abundant amount of tannins , these substances are excellent antioxidants. The flowers also have saponins, widely used to make products such as soap substances.

 

The lavender plant has a wide variety of acids , including caproic acid stresses , and isobutyric rosmarinic . These are mainly concentrated in the leaves and flowers of this plant.

 

Lavender has within its composition substances called coumarins , which are mainly found in the flowers of this plant.

Usage: leaves and flowers are used. Very suitable in perfumery for its aroma. It is also used in culinary specialties.
