Herbaceous annual that can grow to forty feet in height, of thin sheets of intense green color. It is native to Iran and India.

Planting date . The seeds can be sown all year round although the season spring crop is recommended .

Date collected . From May to June or June to October , its blooms in summer and is white.

Setting planting . It is advisable to plant it directly in pots , it is very useful to combat insect pests other plants.

Irrigation . Need of intensive irrigation, but we never encharcarlas .

Care . Avoid frost because not resist, inside home we can endure all year . We should also trim its branches every fortnight for growth

Culinary applications . Commonly used in Mediterranean cooking to make sauces ( pesto sauce), and to flavor meat and fish.
