Common Name: Acanthus, Ear Gigante, Yerba Carderona

Description of the plant: rhizomatous perennial herb up to 1 m in height. Leaves: simple, rosette, large 35-50 cm in length. White flowers and purple bracts on stiff stems.

Flowering: in late spring or early summer.

Sun Exposure: likes the shade or partial shade.

Watering: in spring and summer every 2-3 days; every 10 days in winter.
