Aucuba japonica

 

Common name: Aucuba, spotted Laurel.

Description of the plant: Evergreen shrub 1-3 m tall. Oval, glossy and very nice jagged edges with yellow spots on leaves some variety. Inforescencias very small red flowers 5-10 cm. They spend quite unnoticed. The fruits are the size of an olive, bright bright red when ripe.

Flowering: late winter.

Exhibition: in a well-lit place is much better in shade or partial shade to full sun.

Watering: frequente abundant in summer and very low in winter. Resist any condition of irrigation, including long periods of drought. The only thing it does not stand waterlogging.
