Common Name: Boxwood, common boxwood.

Description of the plant: monoecious evergreen shrub and long life. Height and diameter of the box: 1 m x 1.5 m. Not exceeding 5 m. Very slow growth, even a few inches in a year. Boxwood is a shrub with entire, opposite, leathery leaves. Small, whitish flowers, unpleasant odor, arranged in inflorescences.

Flowering period: May and June.

Exhibition: prefers partial shade exposures, but tolerates full sun.

Watering: very moderate, always avoiding the puddles. In winter, watering wisely.

Attention: boxwood leaves and seeds are poisonous.
