Metrosideros robusta

Common name: Tree of iron.

Description of the plant: leaves, dark green and velvety measuring 25-50 mm long and 15-25 mm wide, and have a distinct break in the end. The flowers are born in clusters on the tips of the branches, are a mass of scarlet stamens.

Flowering: November to February.

Watering: Moderate.
