Miscanthus sinensis

Common name: Eulalia miscantus.

Description of the plant: It is a herbaceous perennial to 0.8 to 2 m (rarely 4 m) high, forming dense clumps with underground rhizomes. The leaves are 18 to 75 cm long. and 0.3 to 2 cm wide. The flowers are purple, being under the foliage.

Flowering: from late summer to late autumn.

Watering: Moderate.
