Quercus suber

Common name: oak.

Description of the plant: it is a medium size tree, its leaves are 4 to 7 cm in length, can be serrated or lobed, dark green in the face, lighter beneath. Its acorns are 2 to 3 cm in length. It has a thick, rough bark. Eventually the crust reaches a major role in the Cork market.

Irrigation: little holds and prefers soils a`cids drought and low nitrogen.
