Salix babylonica

Common Name: Willow

Description of the plant: branches with thin, flexible, long, hanging almost to the ground. The trunk bark is fissured. Leaves linear-lanceolate, 8 to 15 cm long., Acuminate, finely serrated edge, glabrous and glaucous on the underside when adult. Petiole short, pubescent. The inflorescences sprout with leaves, cylindrical catkins have 2 to 5 cm long, flowers pale yellow.

Flowering: winter.

Irrigation: abundant.
